Some refinements to process

With NanoWriMo done and dusted for 2015, it's a good time to refine some of my writing processes. I've been in a state of flux recently. On the desktop I'm torn between Mac and Linux while on mobile I use both Android (my phone) and iOS (my tablet). I've been enjoying iOS so much that I've even pondered getting an iPad pro. As a household however we are increasingly reliant on Apple's services because quite frankly I'm getting tired with running my own open source equivalents. Time is the key motivator here but let's talk money first. iCloud costs me $1.50 per month for 50GB; you can't even buy a cuppa for that these days for that price . My previous solution, ownCloud, cost me several manhours to maintain per month and there's hardly any mobile apps that support it anyway.

Anyway, I digress, the round about point I'm trying to make is that as always my process needs to be cross-platform friendly and low maintenance. So that means markdown and Python; these are common denominators across the platforms I care about.
